My Favorite Things About Christmas

Contrary to popular belief I am not the biggest Scrooge ever. I genuinely love the Christmas season. There is something special about this time of year. Its nothing that can be put into words, because for each person this special something is different. I want to share a few things that give me that warm fuzzy Christmas feeling.

Temple Square Lights and Nativity Scenes

These two things make me feel peaceful and like nothing in the world can go wrong. These scenes remind me of when my mom would bundle me and my siblings up in layers and layers of clothes to walk around Temple Square and take in the sights. Though it was a struggle for her to get my little brother to wear a pair of his sisters tights under his pants to keep warm. It was worth the effort on my moms part. It is one of my happiest childhood memories.

SNOW

I love that snow can frame and enhance a scene in a way that stirs my emotions and imagination.

Christmas Treats for the Eyes, Ears, Mouth and Nose

During this life of hustle and bustle there is something very soothing about coming home putting on my jammies and falling into the therapeutic sights, sounds, tastes and smells of the season. I have a strange love for Little Debbie Christmas Tree Snacks. I could eat an entire box while enjoying a Christmas movie. To kick the awesomeness up a notch I add a nummy pine scented candle and twinkling lights from a Christmas tree and that is my recipe for Christmas Bliss.
